| View in browser ADIZES TODAY SEPTEMBER 2026 Hello , Through this newsletter, we hope to inspire and inform you and offer practical tips and resources that you can apply to your own organizations and personal life. Thank you for joining us on this journey! "We have been applying the Adizes methodology for more than 40 years. It has been instrumental in enabling us to grow our business from around $50 million per year to over $4 billion. The lessons of balanced management that recognize all the disciplines needed in every organization, regardless of size, have been a driving force behind our success."   —Stewart Resnick President and CEO, The Wonderful Company Featured Topic The Hidden Cost of Interdependence   Modern organizations are built on interdependence.   Sales depends on Marketing. Marketing depends on Product. Product depends on Operations. Operations depends on Finance, technology, suppliers, and many others.   The same is true beyond the organization. Companies rely on customers, partners, regulators, logistics networks, financial institutions, and increasingly complex supply chains.   This interdependence allows organizations to specialize, grow, and innovate.   But it also creates a challenge that leaders often underestimate.   The more specialized and interconnected an organization becomes, the more capable it can be. At the same time, it becomes more vulnerable to coordination failures.     Specialization Creates Value   Specialization allows people and teams to focus on what they do best. As organizations grow, responsibilities become more defined, expertise deepens, and new capabilities emerge.   A small company may begin with a founder handling sales, operations, customer service, and finance. Over time, these responsibilities become separate functions, supported by specialists, systems, and processes.   The organization becomes more sophisticated.   It also becomes more dependent on cooperation.   A single decision may require several departments to act in sequence. A product launch, for example, can depend on Marketing, Sales, Finance, Operations, Legal, Technology, and external partners.   No single function controls the entire result.   That is where specialization creates new management challenges.     Efficiency Can Also Create Fragility   Highly interconnected systems can be extremely efficient when everything works as expected.   But when one connection fails, the effects can spread quickly. We see this in global supply chains, where a disruption in one factory, port, shipping route, or technology provider can affect companies thousands of kilometers away.   The same happens inside organizations.   A delayed decision in one area can slow several others. Conflicting priorities can stop implementation. Missing information can create mistakes across multiple teams.   In these situations, the problem is not always competence. Often, the problem is integration.   Organizations may invest heavily in specialized talent without investing enough in the mechanisms that allow those people to work together effectively.   The result can be an organization with highly capable individuals and weak collective performance.     Growth Increases the Need for Integration   Organizations should not try to eliminate interdependence. It is a foundation of scale, innovation, and progress. The real question is whether the organization knows how to manage it.   As interdependence increases, so does the need for clarity around responsibilities, decision-making, communication, accountability, and collaboration.   Different functions will naturally see problems differently. Finance may focus on risk. Sales may focus on the customer. Operations may focus on reliability.   Those differences can improve decisions.   The challenge is whether the organization can integrate them constructively.   When it cannot, healthy differences can turn into delays, politics, duplicated work, and destructive conflict.     The leadership question, then, is simple: As we become more specialized, are we also becoming better integrated? Growth without integration can make an organization increasingly fragile.    At the Adizes Institute, we empower organizations of all types to develop the tools and concepts needed to manage this complexity. Our work empowers leaders to integrate different perspectives, align responsibility and authority, and lead rapid change without destructive conflict, enabling organizations to achieve sustainable, exceptional results.   Source: From Dr. Adizes’ Blog: What is The Economy (Article by Shoham Adizes) News and Updates Preparing the Next Generation of Leaders in Montreux   For the third consecutive year, the Adizes Institute participated in VALIA 2026 Formación Empresarial Cristiana program in Montreux, Switzerland. Representing the Institute, Senior Associate Juan José Flores introduced a new generation of leaders and entrepreneurs to key principles of the Adizes Methodology and how to apply them to the challenges organizations face today.   The sessions explored how leaders can manage change, build complementary teams, strengthen trust and cooperation, understand how organizations evolve through different stages of growth, and bring together the authority, influence, and support needed to turn decisions into implementation. These capabilities are increasingly important for leaders working in environments defined by rapid change, complexity, and competing priorities.   Strong leadership is not only about having the right ideas or making good decisions. It also requires the ability to bring different perspectives together, work through conflict constructively, build alignment, and create the conditions for effective decision implementation.   Programs such as Formación Empresarial Cristiana help prepare emerging leaders for this reality by exposing them to practical concepts that can strengthen both their leadership and the organizations they will help shape.   At the Adizes Institute, we are proud to contribute to initiatives that prepare the next generation of leaders to navigate change, build healthier organizations, and create sustainable value. Through our methodology, programs, and advisory work, we support organizations of all types with the tools and concepts needed to implement rapid change without destructive conflict and achieve sustainable and exceptional results. Celebrating One Cohort and Welcoming the Next   The Adizes Executive Program recently marked an important transition as one cohort completed the program and the next began its journey. Participants from the latest cohort came together online for a closing gathering and toast to recognize the completion of months of learning, reflection, and application. It was a simple but meaningful opportunity to acknowledge the work participants had done throughout the program and the experience they had shared as a group.   One of the distinctive strengths of the Adizes Executive Program is the diversity of its participants. Leaders join from different parts of the world and from a wide range of industries, bringing different perspectives, challenges, and experiences into the learning process.   Shortly after the closing gathering, the next cohort joined for its first online welcome session, beginning a new cycle of learning and development. The session featured opening remarks from Dr. Ichak Adizes, who shared reflections with participants as they began the program and prepared to explore the principles, tools, and practical applications of the Adizes Methodology.   The Adizes Executive Program is designed to give leaders the time and structure to go beyond understanding concepts and apply them directly to the challenges they face in their organizations. Through live online sessions, participants work with ideas related to managing change, building alignment, strengthening collaboration, improving implementation, and leading healthier organizations.   The international and cross-industry nature of each cohort also creates an important opportunity for participants to learn from one another. While their organizations and markets may be very different, many of the leadership challenges they face are remarkably similar.   The transition between cohorts reflects the continuous nature of this work. One group completes the program with new perspectives and tools to apply, while another begins examining its own leadership and organizational challenges.   We congratulate the participants who recently completed the program and warmly welcome the new cohort as they begin the experience.   At the Adizes Institute, we remain committed to empowering leaders and organizations to develop the capabilities needed to manage rapid change without destructive conflict and achieve sustainable and exceptional results. Build the Skills to Solve Complex Organizational Problems   Organizations rarely struggle because they lack intelligent people or good ideas. More often, the challenge is bringing different perspectives together, identifying the right problem, building alignment, and turning decisions into implementation. The upcoming Foundational Challenge Training is designed to help leaders and professionals develop those capabilities through practical tools from the Adizes Methodology. Participants will learn how to approach complex organizational challenges more effectively, work constructively with different perspectives, improve collaboration, and move from discussion to action. The program is especially relevant for team leaders, project managers, operations professionals, HR leaders, product owners, and professionals preparing for broader leadership responsibilities. The next live online training will take place on September 21, 23, 28, and 30, 2026, with four interactive 4.5-hour sessions. Throughout the program, participants will work with practical concepts, group exercises, and tools they can begin applying directly in their organizations. For more than 50 years, the Adizes Symbergetic™Management  methodology has empowered organizations worldwide to manage change, improve collaboration, and strengthen implementation. The Foundational Challenge Training offers a practical introduction to that approach. Learn more and apply for the upcoming cohort. Apply Today!
